Championship Information

The Kelly Cup Golf Championship is a fundraiser by the Sandhills Children’s Center that benefits the many needs of their students and staff. The 2025 Kelly Cup will be held at Forest Creek Golf Club on Monday, March 24, with a 9 a.m. shotgun start and a Team Shamble format. Lunch will be provided afterward, and a Hole-In-One vehicle provided by Cooper Ford.

History

The Kelly Cup Golf Championship began in 2001 and is named after the late William “Bill” Kelly, a generous patron of Sandhills Children’s Center. The tournament takes place in March and has been held at Pinewild Country Club, Pinehurst No. 8 and, most recently, at Forest Creek Golf Club. Players enjoy a relaxing round of golf with a meal provided afterward. There is also an auction of rounds of golf and trips, as well as Angel Tees with therapeutic “wish list” items.

Proceeds benefit children right here in the Sandhills area.
