  • Experience in meal planning and preparation is preferred.
  • Meals include breakfast, lunch and afternoon snack.
  • Duties include:
    •  Making sure the kitchen is well kept and clean.
    • Completing food orders
    • Preparing and cooking food served to children ages 0-5 in accordance with CACFP and childcare guidelines.
    • Modifying meals for students with food and drink allergies.

Associate Teachers & Substitutes

  • Hours: Part-time

  • Salary: Commensurate with experience

  • Qualifications:

    • High School Graduate

    • Experience working with preschool-age children (Birth -5 years of age)

    • Demonstrated knowledge of early childhood development

    • Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills

    • Demonstrated organizational skills, flexibility, and ability to multitask

    • Self-motivated and able to work efficiently and effectively under pressure

    • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus

Responsibilities:

  • Work within our daily daycare functions, policies, and procedures

  • Assist Lead Teacher in educating and supervising an assigned group of children at all times

  • Assist Lead Teacher in developing a program of attainable educational goals appropriate to the age and developmental level of the assigned group of children

  • Assist Lead Teacher in the safekeeping of equipment and material accessible to children

  • Assist in overall planning for the use of shared space in the daycare center

  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with parents

  • Maintain records and share with appropriate staff members

  • Participate in related training opportunities as they become available

  • Additional duties as assigned by supervisor and/or Director
