At both our Southern Pines and Rockingham campuses, all of our children are provided with delicious and nutritious meals each day. Our kitchen staff works tirelessly planning, preparing, and serving these meals. Children are fed three times daily including breakfast, lunch, and an afternoon snack.
Nutrition is an essential part of growing, developing and learning; so, we take our children’s nutrition very seriously. If your child has special dietary needs, we want to know so that our kitchen staff can make accommodations.
Our infant classroom teachers communicate with families throughout the day using Daily Connect! Daily Connect allows parents and child care centers to easily communicate. It is the replacement to the information daily sheet and much more. As soon as an event is saved, it is immediately synchronized on each parent and caregiver account. Everybody has access to the information in real time. You can record not only feedings, naps, diapers, milestones, but also the baby’s mood, temperature and pictures throughout the day. Our oldest preschool classrooms communicate using Hi Mama! The #1 rated childcare app that will keep you up to date on what your child is learning by connecting lessons directly to the NC Foundations, along with daily reports and pictures of your children sent directly to your phone.
Safety for students is a high priority and children may only be picked up by people the parents have authorized in advance. Both campuses have locked entrances that parents may access by purchasing a key fob. During the Covid-19 pandemic, pick-up and drop-off is at the front door.
The Sandbox is a parent newsletter from the administration that is distributed throughout the center.
